By PATRICE BAILEY, (sister of Jacqueline Billy)
I see you coming through the trees.
The woods are trying to hide you but
I see your glowing shape rising higher
and higher until no trees are near!
I am a moon watcher! You make my
heart flutter! Then a peace of knowing
you’ll always be there! You are a Peek
through a cloud in the night time starry black sky!
You make the sea tides ebb and flow!
I Watch to see when you make the Waves low
so i can run quickly and reach for that shell !
I don’t fret when my boots get wet but smile
that im so grateful now to make that run every
day if I want! Even i can see you in the day so faint
but always there. Like a distant friend !
I like your crescent shape the best! I see that sparkling
Fairy sitting on you and counting the stars !
I Guess i will always be a moon watcher!

You wrote a marvelous poem sister!
A beautiful description of the moon especially since we’ve been close during the past space mission.
