The Moon Goddess

The moon is a Goddess in a shiny silver dress

Reflecting the Sun’s bright rays.

She uses her body as a shield and a magnet

To attract boulders flying through space,

Protecting the surface of the Earth

Around which she Rotates.

She pulls the Earth’s ocean tides and plays

Havoc when she is completely dressed in the fiery

Light of the sun. Our minds open and

Our actions are without restraint at this time.

We create, we dance, we feel joy and love vibrantly

Under the gaze of the full moon.

She watches us tenderly in other phases and

Lights the paths of lovers walking hand in hand,

Making us feel dreamy and romantic.

When the Moon Goddess is sleeping, and we see only

Darkness, she encourages us to rest as well and

We become introspective and deeply reflect

On what to remove from our lives.

We make new goals and prepare

To welcome new things into our lives.

When I stand out in the dark with the moon

And the stars above me, I feel the One Spirit

Within me and I pray, feeling a sacred wonder

In every part of my body.

The Moon Goddess smiles.
